Ken Harrington
Managing Director
Ken Harrington has spent over 25 years in industry as a senior executive for seven start-up companies. Since 2001 he has led the expansion of Washington University’s Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. In 2004, Washington University committed to a five year, $15 million campus-wide entrepreneurship effort that was led by Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton. This effort includes education, research, and community service innovation initiatives. The Skandalaris Approach to Entrepreneurial Development encompasses experiences for all degree levels and schools at Washington University where faculty and student interest areas span commercial, social, community, the law, global issues, and several other aspects of entrepreneurship. Since 2004 the Center has supported the founding of over eighty new ventures and developed approaches to entrepreneurial community growth in Madagascar and the United States. Mr. Harrington consults on university cross-campus entrepreneurship concepts, regional development thinking, university-industry partnerships, and innovation in large organizations. He has an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and a BS from the University of Vermont.
Rosemary Gliedt
Center Manager
Rosemary began her career with Edward Jones, where she worked for several
years in both the Customer Loan and Customer Service areas. She joined
the Olin School of Business in 1997, working first in the Dean's Office
and then the Center for Experiential Learning, where she focused on both
the community consulting and entrepreneurship programs. Rosemary received
her B.A. from Maryville University and her Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from Washington University in 2007.
II Luscri
Student Services Coordinator
II ("Two") joined the Center in September, 2007, as Student Services Coordinator after serving Duke University in a similar capacity. Prior to his employment in academia, he worked in various government and political offices. As an undergraduate at Webster University, II cultivated his entrepreneurial spirit by opening an on-campus coffee house and creating a closed-circuit television station. He earned a BA in Political Science and BS in Mathematics from Webster, an MPA from Saint Louis University, and is a PhD Candidate at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Aimee Dunne Zander
Community Outreach Coordinator
Aimee joined the Center in October 2009 as Community Outreach Coordinator. Aimee's background in industry affords her expertise in many areas of leadership, marketing, program management, and operational effectiveness. A Chicago area native, Aimee worked for more than ten years at Qwest Communications in Seattle, and since moving to St. Louis, has enjoyed getting to know the community. Aimee earned an undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Shanté Redden
Center Program Administrator
Shanté joined the Skandalaris Center in 2005 after working with a consulting firm
whose client was Metro, the region's public transportation system. Prior
to that, Shanté worked for several nonprofits in St. Louis, including
Saint Louis University and the Consortium for Graduate Study in
Management, where she worked with Olin School MBA program staff, students,
and alumni. Shanté received her B.A. from the University of Missouri -
Columbia.
Jane Yorker
Administrative Assistant
Jane graduated with a B.A. from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs as an art major. Her first post-college adventure was with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), in the war on poverty. After learning what poverty was really like, she sought gainful employment and turned to service as an office assistant, which she has enjoyed ever since. She has worked at Wohl Shoe Company, Brown Shoe Company, and Nordyne, Inc., arriving at Washington University in 2004. After working in Alumni & Development for two years, she joined the Skandalaris Center in September, 2006.
Innovation Acceleration Partnership Fellows
In late 2007 the Skandalaris Center received an Innovation Acceleration Partnership (IAP) grant from the National Science Foundation to hire three fellows to work with Washington University researchers, the Office of Technology Management, and the St. Louis community to enhance and strenghten collaborations between university and industry.
Kunal Rehani, Ph.D.
Kunal earned his Ph.D. in 2008 in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Louisville. He has served as an intern in their Office of Technology Transfer, including analyzing disclosures, identifying competitors and market entry barriers, as well as potential partner companies. His training and exposure to translational science and real world applications of technology has fuelled interest in a cross-disciplinary career bridging science and business.

Bradley Keller, Ph.D.
Brad earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Kansas. He is an experienced researcher having spent more than 20 years in Discovery Research for Pfizer and its legacy companies Pharmacia, Searle and Monsanto. His responsibilities included Laboratory Leader for in vitro assay development, Research Project Leader moving discovery projects from the idea stage into early clinical development, and Therapeutic Area (TA) Leadership Team member to manage TA project portfolios and resourcing needs. He has a strong interest in applying his scientific expertise to the business aspects of commercializing science and technology in the St. Louis area.
Stanislav Samarin, Ph.D.
Stas earned his Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Biophysics at the Russian Academy of Sciences in a joint effort with the French National Center for Scientific Research. He undertook his postdoctoral training in epithelial pathobiology at the Emory University School of Medicine. He has extensive hands-on experience in modern biomedical research, including cell biology, biochemistry, biophysics and math modeling. Stas has a track record of obtaining research funding from federal and private agencies and has served as a reviewer/consultant for funding agencies and biotech start-ups.
Julie Wang, Ph.D.
Julie earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and has served as an intern at Merck Co. Inc. and the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine. She has diverse research experience in areas such as nuclear medicine, natural product drug discovery, and microbiology. She was a member of the Penn Biotech Group at the University of Pennsylvania where she contributed to a consulting project for a local startup company in Philadelphia. She has a strong interest in biomedical research and bringing scientific discoveries into clinical application.
